About us
West Berkshire makes up half the geographical area of the county of Berkshire, covering an area of 272 square miles. It has a population of 158,500, with 44% living in Newbury/Thatcham which is the largest urban area in the district. The Library service is provided by eight libraries, and a mobile.
We offer the public access to the Internet via computers or wifi in all our static libraries. e-Books, e-Audiobooks e-Newpapers and e-Magazines are available to download.
