About us

Buckinghamshire Library Service offers a mixture of council and community managed libraries. In addition to the public lending libraries there is a School's Library Service, reserve stock and a specialist local history centre. We offer a Home Library Service which delivers books to the housebound via volunteers.

Our online reference resources provide access to encyclopaedias, dictionaries, newspapers, magazines, music and more. Online resources include free access to:

  • eBooks
  • eAudiobooks
  • eMagazines
  • eNewspapers
  • Other facilities in libraries*

  • free computer access for 1 hour per day to library members
  • free Wi-Fi access
  • scanning
  • photocopying
  • printing
  • *available at most libraries

Buckinghamshire Libraries have many rooms available for hire.

If you are looking to hold an event or activity, appointment with a client, private study session, exhibition or a workshop, booking a library room is a great solution.
